Welcome to Andy Curtis Audio ...
This is the website of Andy Curtis - Food & Beverage professional and previously Radio Producer and Presenter, Voice-Over artist, TV Presenter, Writer, Audio Consultant and DJ/MC amongst many other things. Within these pages, you'll find an online resume and examples of my work in Radio, Television, Newspapers and Magazines, and many of the other fields and industries that I have been involved in over the years. A frustrated actor, I became a DJ by mistake at the age of 11. By the age of 18, I was already a busy mobile DJ, local newspaper writer, budding music critic and was looking into a career as a Pirate Radio DJ. However, I arrived in Hong Kong on contract as a Club DJ and Professional Entertainer in 1985, and since then have worked extensively throughout Hong Kong's electronic and print media as Producer, Presenter and/or Commercial Producer for three of Hong Kong's English language radio stations - BFBS (British Forces Radio), Commercial Radio, RTHK Radio 3 and a one-off show for bilingual channel 104FM Select. I was Channel continuity announcer on ATV Hong Kong's English Channel, 'World', for 10 years, and have written, Produced, Presented and Directed over 100 TV shows. Back in the 1990's I had my own production studios and have produced and presented numerous Airline in-flight shows; have trained budding Radio DJ's around the region, and have been in constant demand as MC and 'personality' DJ for Corporate functions. From 1997 onwards, I started to get more involved in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry as a Club, Restaurant and Bar Manager, and in 2001 as Public Relations Manager for all 3 Hong Kong properties of The Marco Polo Hotel Group. Thereafter, I returned to F&B, and worked extensively in Wanchai, Central and SoHo for freestanding venues, and again in Hotels; at The Charterhouse (Wanchai), The Luxe Manor (Tsim Sha Tsui) and most recently at The Regal Airport Hotel (Chek Lap Kok, Lantau). I am currently an independent F&B Management and Marketing consultant by day (working alongside my Chef wife at www.krualime.com), and have returned to entertainment at night!
